Reiki is a complementary holistic energy healing therapy that complements all other treatments both mainstream and alternative. Reiki aims to restore balance and activate the bodies own self-healing. Reiki is a holistic treatment. The term holisitic is derived from the Greek word holos which means whole. The whole of the person. Thus when we treat with reiki we incorporate the whole of the person, body, mind and spirit.

Receiving Reiki from a practitioner is a simple process. The client lies on a treatment table and the practitioner will gently lay their hands on the body in a series of hand positions, for example head, torso, legs, sometimes hovering the hands rather than touching. Each hand position is held for a few minutes.

The recipient remains fully clothed throughout the treatment, shoes may be removed to benefit the relaxation and healing process.
